LITTLE ORANGE PEOPLE
My established 'Little Orange People' illustrations are showcased on my Etsy and Depop shops. I began selling my illustrations in 2018, during my Art Foundation course, and focused on my artistic style ever since. My 'Little Orange People' began as watercolour characters on a comic strip, and have become their whimsical, distinct, paper selves after four years of development.
Over the first lockdown of 2020, I began directing my creative energy into a book of 'Little Orange People', (above). I decided to try and focus on the positives of the pandemic, amongst the fear and anxieties Covid-19 brought. My book, titled 'Things We Can Learn From Covid-19', showcases all the tiny, but important, aspects of life that were able to flourish in a time of reflection and rest. A sense of community, humanity, and opportunity to learn was salient to me during this time, and I wanted to highlight how perspective can turn a nightmare into something a little less scary.
